Oak Hill Area

The Oak Hill Area is the hidden gem of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It contains just 6.4 of the park's 125 miles of hiking trails, and it lacks a tourist attraction like Brandywine Falls and the Ledges. But Oak Hill breathes free of pedestrian congestion and noise pollution. The lily pads and cattails guarding the area's two largest ponds, Sylvan and Meadowedge, chirp and ripple with all the third-eye tranquillity of a Zen master giggling at nothingness. In the morning, a silent haze kisses the landscape before the afternoon sun gently burns it off. This is the park at its most dreamy. Soak it up.
