Edgewater Park

When your annual self-improvement bent kicks in, and you're looking for a little quiet time in a beautiful spot, don't leave Cleveland. The cliff at the western end of Edgewater Park offers the best views of Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland, and the broad expanse of grass at the top of the hill makes a perfect spot to sit, close your eyes, and quiet your mind. Though it's stuck in the middle of the city, the loudest noises are the relaxing calls of seagulls, wind rustling the trees, and waves licking the shore. And the passersby actually leave you alone. Just pop a squat, breathe deep, and say "Om."
