Boy Blunder

When: Thu., April 17 2014
A young boy is blamed for everything that goes wrong in a Laotian family’s life. His only chance of redemption is if he wins a rocket building competition. That’s the premise of director Kim Mordaunt’s The Rocket, winner of the audience award for “best narrative feature” at various festivals. Think The Kite Runner, Whale Rider or Beasts of the Southern Wild. The film makes its Cleveland debut tonight at 6:45 and shows again on Saturday night at 9:30 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets are $9. (Jeff Niesel)
