If you’re like us, most Thursdays, some version of the following is probably ambling through your noggin: “Where oh where can I go see an under-the-radar flick about two Australian couples traveling to Cambodia on an unforgettable vacation? But not like a lovey-dovey rom-com. I’m talking about a bonda fide thriller, in which maybe someone goes missing and then and all sorts of international crime conspiracies — including drug trafficking! — are uncovered, or at the very least entertained? Where can I go see a thriller like that?” Tonight, you’ll find one at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. The film is called Wish You Were Here. It’s just exactly what you’re looking for, and it stars Joel Edgerton, the Tom Buchanan from this summer’s Great Gatsby. Foreign thrillers always seem a little grittier, a little more legit. If you miss it this evening at 6:45, check it out on Saturday at 7:35 p.m. Tickets for non-members are $9. (Allard)
