Spinning acid jazz and deep house every night almost cost DJ Orion his girlfriend 10 years ago. He fended off the break-up by teaching her how to work the turntables. "She said, 'I feel like the other woman in our relationship,'" recalls Orion (aka Rob Patterson). "Now I can't get her off the tables." DJ Andromeda joins her boyfriend on the decks tonight at their weekly gig at Spy. Saxophonist Mack Blak is also there, plugging his instrument into the mixing board so he can accompany the two DJs. "I was smoking a joint with him one night, and I said, Do you think you could jam over my music?" says Orion. "We've been going with it ever since."
