While metal singer-guitarist Doro Pesch is known as one of hard rock’s heaviest hitters, she was initially inspired to play after hearing the old-school sounds of Little Richard. “I got hooked on him when I was 3 or 4,” Pesch told us last year in an interview. “I didn’t want to do anything after that.” She formed her first band when she was 15 and quickly became a sensation in her native Germany. Pesch, who issued the terrific Raise Your Fist in 2012, shows no signs of letting up. “I love it and plan to keep performing until I’m 70 or until the day I die,” she says. “The fans still love it. Even all our idols are now close to 70 and going strong. As long as the fans enjoy it, I’ll keep touring even though it’s hard on the bones. I’m actually in better shape now than when I was 20 years old.” Check it out for yourself at tonight’s show. 7 p.m., $15 ADV, $18 DOS. The Agora Theatre. (Niesel)
