East Meets West: A Butterfly Lovers Concert

Cleveland’s Hermit Club presents the Cleveland, Ohio premiere of the most beloved work in the Chinese classical repertoire: the “Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto," featuring violinist Steven Greenman and the 40-piece Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra led by conductor Stephen Eva. This work tells the timeless story of the tragic romance between two lovers, Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, and is regarded as the Chinese equivalent of "Romeo and Juliet." Also on the program will be other Chinese symphonic works and a set by the Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble. Only 90 tickets will be sold so reserve tickets in advance.
