This weekend’s Fabulous Food Show at the I-X Center is all about grilling and chilling in your own backyard. Talks and demos by celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay, Steven Raichlen, Jamie Purviance, and Emeril are aimed at firing up your BBQ ambitions. And a host of exhibits focused on gardening, landscaping, and outdoor living seem designed to keep all hands on the deck for summer’s duration. “It’s a whole new food show experience,” says Eric German, the show’s executive director. “It’ll get people thinking spring and about getting back outside.” Also on the menu of attractions: a farmers market, an ice cream shop, tastings from the American Wine School, and the usual celebrity book signings. Saturday's hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday’s festivities go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $25 in advance, or $30 on show days; special meet & greet packages start at $150.
