Russian-born fiddler Jascha Heifetz is the subject of God’s Fiddler, a new documentary from director Peter Rosen. The film includes plenty of performance footage but it also features interviews with people who knew the man. “HIs playing was so passionate,” says violinist Ida Haendel. “It was fire. It was absolute fire.” Designed to complement the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Masters of the Violin concerts, the movie screens today at 1:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9.
