New to DVD this week

Tron: Legacy (Walt Disney) The original Tron, from 1982, isn't a great movie. But it is an innovative one — a state-of-the-art geekfest featuring some of the greatest special effects of its era. Last year's sequel, which picks up 28 years after the original, plays a similar game: It's a great-looking movie with just a so-so story. Jeff Bridges reprises his role as Kevin Flynn, now lost in the computer world he created years ago. His grown son (the very bland Garrett Hedlund) goes in after him, but Kevin's evil computer-generated twin has other plans, which involve taking over the real world. But none of that matters. What matters is all of the cool stuff racing across the screen. Blah extras go behind the scenes.

Arthur/Arthur 2: On the Rocks (Warner) — Just in time for the Russell Brand remake, Dudley Moore's 1981 comedy about a drunken socialite is paired with its sequel on this Blu-ray debut. They're not very funny, unless you find slurred speech, boorish behavior, and Liza Minnelli hilarious.

Babe (Universal) — The best movie ever about a talking pig who wants to be a sheepdog finally comes to Blu-ray. Did you know this charming barnyard fable was written by the same guy who made the Mad Max movies? That'll do. There are a few behind-the-scenes extras, but why spoil the magic?

Little Fockers (Universal) — Everyone's coasting in the third movie in this increasingly unfunny franchise, especially Robert De Niro, who hits every tic in his playbook. There are kids this time, adding to the misery. Extras include two separate features about how much Ben Stiller loves his co-stars.
