Honeyhoney, an alt-country act of sorts that features actress Suzanne Santo and guitarist Ben Jaffe, emerged out of L.A.’s burgeoning folk scene in the late ’00s and has been on a good roll ever since. On the band’s latest release, 2011’s Billy Jack, Santo’s lazy vocals evoke Emmylou Harris, and the music has a distinctly alt-country feel as she sings about “freeways turning to dust” (“Ohio”) and “raising hell” (“Thin Line”). Those moody ballads will undoubtedly comprise the majority of the show’s set, a make-up date for a gig that was cancelled earlier this year when Hurricane Sandy ripped through town. (Jeff Niesel)
