On August 9, 1978, Bruce Springsteen played a show at the old Agora Ballroom on East 24th Street that would become the stuff of rock n’ roll legend. Broadcast on WMMS, the concert drew some 1200 fans to the Agora and became one of the most bootlegged concerts in history. Tonight at 9 at Wilbert’s, local heroes Swamps of Jersey will recreate that three-hour Agora show in its entirety as they honor the concert’s 35th anniversary. The guys will also be back at Wilbert’s tomorrow night at 9 to play a mix of favorite Springsteen tunes. A donation is requested at the door. (Jeff Niesel)
