Kate Nash/La Sera

When: Sun., Nov. 3, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $15
Infinitely more sincere and interesting than most of her counterparts, English singer-songwriter Kate Nash consistently delivers upbeat pop numbers with a very particular bite. And that voice! Nash reels in the sort of honesty that we need so badly throughout the pop scene these days. “Foundations” could have been the also-ran tale of a relationship gone wrong, but Nash infuses the story with clever wordplay, head-buzzing music and, yes, that voice! Likewise, “Mouthwash,” “Dickhead,” and “Birds” help flesh out a tremendous debut album. But Nash has gone on to drop several albums and a handful of singles since then. This year’s Girl Talk keeps the grit that she showed when she first started, though the ever-present glow of cheer and that voice are still, of course, ever present. Check out “OHMYGOD” for the latest goods. (Sandy)
