There’s no shortage of celebrations today to mark the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The Great Lakes Science Center sets up interactive exhibits that honor King from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (601 Erieside Avenue; 216-694-2000). The Cleveland Botanical Garden holds a cotton-seed-bracelet workshop that pays tribute to King’s roots from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (11030 East Boulevard; 216-721-1600). Area students rap, sing, and dance at House of Blues’ Voices Ring Out concert from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (308 Euclid Avenue; 216-543-4227). Karamu House pays homage to King with African drumming and dancing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (2355 East 89th Street; 216-795-7070), while kids can make bracelets out of colored paper at the Children’s Museum of Cleveland from noon to 5 p.m. (10730 Euclid Avenue; 216-791-7114). The best part: Everything is free!
