Living for the City

Every week, the View toasts city living at Resident Wednesdays, a gathering for urban dwellers. “Most people living downtown barely know their neighbors, let alone someone who lives in another building,” says Marcus Sims, the club’s marketing director. “Here’s a chance for a person who lives in Reserve Square to get to know people who live in the Warehouse District.” Area restaurants lay out a buffet, while local artists display their work. And if you show an ID with a downtown address, drink prices are slashed in half. “We’re looking for residents to take part in discussing ideas, socializing, and networking,” says Sims. “Maybe we can start a downtown renaissance.”
