Lions, tigers, and . . . partyers? That’s exactly what’s on tap at tonight’s Twilight at the Zoo bash. The 14th-annual party at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo features more than a dozen bands performing everything from folk and country to rock and reggae, under the stars and next to the elephants. “It’s a one-of-a-kind setting,” says spokeswoman Lisa Foster. “You can wind your way around the zoo while listening to good music.”

Armstrong Bearcat, Cats on Holiday, and Disco Inferno provide the tunes. There’ll also be plenty of summertime eats -- including hot dogs, burgers, and egg rolls. And don’t worry about pissing off the residents. Foster says most of the animals don’t mind the music and mingling. In fact, some of them even get in the spirit of things. “The polar bears absolutely love reggae music,” she says. “They dance. We place a reggae band by the bear exhibit every year and let them have fun.”
