Primal Fear Performing at the Agora Ballroom

Currently touring in support of its new album Delivering the Black, the German power metal band Primal Fear played a solid show last night at the Agora. The band hit hard and heavy from the start, delivering “ Final Embrace” from their 1999 album Jaws of Death the hits and history kept coming with both old and new songs including “Alive and on Fire" and “ Delivering the Black.” The intricate guitar work of Alex Beyrodt and Tom Naumann really showed the power, beauty and harmony of two guys working to compliment each other. The band then delivered the powerful “One Night In December" and “Angel In Black" before bursting into “ When Death Comes Knocking “ and the epic “ Chain Breaker." Singer Ralf Scheepers voice sounded strong and powerful and at times recalled Rob Halfold of Judas Priest. Drummer extraordinaire Randy Black and bassist Mat Sinner provided able backing. The band continued the musical onslaught with "Fighting the Darkness" and "Bad Guys Wear Black" before rousing out the night with crowd favorite "Metal is Forever“ and “King for a Day." Artic Flame ,Demonwulf, Wretch and Scum Park Hooligans did a fine job of warming up the crowd .
