Last year, Rascal Flatts made quite a splash at Blossom’s Megaticket series and this year they look to bring that same energy back to Northeast Ohio’s largest country lawn party. The group’s hit single of last year, “Banjo,” reached No. 1 on the country charts with the band’s impressive vocal range and pop elements. The group’s second single off Changed, “Come Wake Me Up,” is a love ballad that opens with a typically sorrowful piano part as frontman Gary LeVox sings, “I can usually drink you right off of my mind, but I miss you tonight.” LeVox was born in Columbus and graduated from Ohio State University but moved to Nashville to pursue his music career. Rascal Flatts is certainly a country band but ballads and pop elements are laid on thick throughout their music. Last year their show included an impressive light show with flames and other stage theatrics that fans are sure to get another taste of this year. (William Hoffman)
