Remembering Lennon

When: Fri., April 18 2014
Your favorite Tremont bookstore will host author and journalist James A. Mitchell this evening as he discusses his new book, The Walrus and the Elephants: John Lennon’s Years of Revolution. The book is less about the Beatles and more about Lennon’s social activism, his post-Beatles NYC band Elephant’s Memory, and his “special relationship” with both Ann Arbor and New York. Mitchell spoke with a whole bunch of people who knew Lennon and dug his grooviness in an intimate way. Mitchell will read some, chat some, sign some books, etc. Because it’s Visible Voice, you can have a glass of wine while you enjoy some Lennon nostalgia. Mitchell will be there from 7 to 9 p.m. (Allard)
