You dig the tunes, they artists will dig the dirt.

A trio of environmentally friendly rockers comes to town today with musical instruments and shovels in tow. The Green Light Tour features Leslie Sanazaro (from St. Louis), Nashville’s Jen Woodhouse, and Todd Sapio (from Austin), who are on a month-long mission to plant trees in 22 U.S. cities. They’ll also perform original tunes about global warming. They’ll plant seeds at the Cleveland Green Building Coalition this afternoon prior to their concert at the Barking Spider tonight. They’ll even raffle off a set of energy-efficient light bulbs. “We really want the tour to mean something and not be a group of miscreant artists driving around aimlessly for themselves,” says Sapio. “It’s our way of saying, ‘Hey! Do you really need that?’”
