@cal body 1 no indent:WinterShow 2006, this year’s edition of the annual event at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, showcases the homegrown, freshly baked, and handmade.

@cal body 1:Kids can create scented ball-shaped pomanders as well as graham cracker houses. Meanwhile, Spice Islands offers a snoutful of seasonal seasonings, including cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove.

Garden rep Peter Vertes says WinterShow’s homespun delights provide an aromatic alternative to the commercial hassles folks typically face this time of year. “We’re trying to revive a feeling of enchantment,” he says. “The holidays have become so stressful, with people spending too much time in the malls. It’s time to recapture the wonders of the season.”
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sundays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: Dec. 2. Continues through Dec. 31
