The Cave Singers

Cave Singers folk Appalachian

The Seattle-based Cave Singers' kitschy urban-woods-in-bloom sound fuses a folk landscape with punk edge, incorporating a variety of acoustic, electric, and down-home Appalachian instruments. Appropriately named singer Pete Quirk tops it all off with some eerie vocals. Borderline phenomenal and pleasantly hypnotic, these beardos give you the same feeling as a springtime storm, where rainwater seeps through your flip-flops, slowly blending with your sweat. It's strangely tantalizing. Invitation Songs, the trio's debut, includes plenty of tunes about spiritual power and earthiness. Expect the Cave Singers to fill the Grog Shop with summery vibes that'll put winter behind once and for all.
