With his thick Eastern European accent, Slavoj Zizek simply sounds smart. We’re really not sure if his riffs on “ideology” in director Sophie Fiennes film The Pervert’s Guide to Ideology will sustain the interest of the general public for 136 minutes, but Zizek doesn’t take himself all that seriously as he revisits scenes from films such as Taxi Driver and The Titanic to make his point that “ideology is not simply imposed on us; we enjoy our ideology.” Heady stuff. The film makes its Cleveland debut tonight at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
