Convergence-Continuum opens its new season tonight with References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, a comedy about a military wife stuck in a small California desert town. It’s an appropriately surreal piece. As Gabriela waits for her soldier boy to come home, she strikes up a conversation with the moon . . . which not only talks back but also comes on to her. A teenage neighbor also has the hots for Gabriela. A cat and a horny coyote add to the mix. José Rivera’s play strings together commentary on the first Gulf War, male-female relationships, and plenty of sexed-up characters. Plus, the surrounding cacti appear to be closing in.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: April 27. Continues through May 26
