The Dublin-based Wolfe Tones might have not get the same recognition as, say the Chieftains, but they’re a notable Irish group that dates back to 1963. Named after a leader of the Irish Rebellion of 1798, the group recently issued Child of Destiny, a CD/DVD featuring orchestral arrangements of Wolfe Tones favs such as “Uncle Nobby’s Steamboat” and traditional tunes like “Who Fears to Speak of ’98.” They won’t have an orchestra for this gig — they now tour as a trio — but don’t hold that against them. The guys have just announced they’ll stop touring in 2014 after they celebrate their 50th anniversary so it’s good to see them now while you can. (Jeff Niesel)
