Totally Cosmic

When: Sat., Nov. 9 and Sat., Nov. 16 2013
Talk about cult! The Visitor, a 1979 bizarro “assault on reality” — not the tender 2007 Richard Jenkins drama about immigration and drum circles — starring director John Huston as an intergalactic warrior who… gosh, the description sort of speaks for itself: “[Huston] joins a cosmic Christ figure in battle against a demonic 8-year-old girl (and her pet hawk!) while the fate of the universe hangs in the balance. Multi-dimensional warfare, pre-adolescent profanity and brutal avian attacks combine to transport the viewer to a state unlike anything they've experienced... somewhere between Hell, Atlanta and the darkest reaches of outer space.” Mmm. Sounds like par for the course for Cleveland Cinemas' Late Shift. Film starts at midnight at the Capitol Theatre and’ll cost you five bucks. (Allard)
