The 1960s were turbulent times. Tragedy struck again on Aug. 1, 1966 when a sniper rode the elevator to the top floor of the University of Texas Tower and opened fire. The documentary film Tower combines archival footage with "rotoscopic animation" of the event. The film uses first-person testimonies from witnesses, heroes and survivors. It screens tonight at 7:30 at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are $9.50. (Niesel)
