Now in its seventh year, the popular Tremont Trek home tour will return on June 21, from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Part walking tour, part progressive-dinner party, the event lets you peek inside six private homes, with wine and food from some of the historic 'hood's best restaurants.
This year's tour steps off at Paul Duda Gallery/Robert Hartshorn Studios with music, wine, and pizza from Next Door Deli, and an antipasto table presented by Dish Deli & Catering. Five hours or so later, trekkies can toddle into Atmosphere Gallery for desserts from Grumpy's and Sweet Mosaic.
In between, tour-takers will feast on Korean-spiced ribs from Fat Cats, sushi from Parallax, portobello fritters from Lago, and tidbits from Lolita, Fahrenheit, Ty Fun Bistro, and Lilly Handmade Chocolates.

Prize guys: Culinary artistry continues to put its mark on the culture at large. Last year was the first time a restaurant critic — LA Weekly's Jonathan Gold — took home the Pulitzer for criticism. And this year marks the first time a Cleveland Arts Prize has gone to a culinarian. Make that two culinarians: chef/restaurateur Michael Symon (Lola, Lolita), and food writer Michael Ruhlman (The Soul of a Chef, The Elements of Cooking).
"Certainly, the notion of recognizing the culinary arts has been a conversation in past years," says Cleveland Arts Prize executive director Marcie Bergman. "But this year, the strength of the two candidates was compelling. Both the Michaels have done so much for Cleveland — and are so highly regarded both locally and nationally — how could we ignore their contribution?"
Ruhlman, Symon, and the other winners will be honored during a June 26 ceremony at the Cleveland Play House.
Can't keep a good bar down: Tremont's 806 Martini & Wine Bar will soon reopen. Owner Tom Leneghan has partnered with pros from Vista Hospitality and Logistics Group to relaunch the popular spot by mid-June. Expect an elegantly updated decor, a small tapas-style menu, and plenty of daily Happy Hour specials.
