Sarah Trigg comes to the Museum of Contemporary Art today to talk about her new book Studio Life, a collection of photographs depicting a hundred different visits with various artists around the United States as they share their objects and habits relating to their creative process. The six categories she documents are mascots, collected objects, rituals, makeshift tools, residue, and habitats. Each artist offers his or her own take on the categories, resulting in a fascinating, larger perspective of how they work. Many of the artists featured in the book have shown their work at MOCA before, including the artist behind current exhibition I Work From Home, Michelle Grabner. The event is free and begins at 1 p.m. (Trenholme).
