Wolfpac

With Psych Ward. Sunday, February 8, at Peabody's.

If "skin to win" dictated record sales, Wolfpac would be multiplatinum. Before Wolfpac shows, the evening's featured dancer -- aw, hell, let's be frank: She's a stripper -- usually checks with the club's management to get the OK on what kind of sex toy she can insert where. Volunteers from the crowd usually disrobe on stage, and plenty of them have submitted photos to the "naked love" section of its website, which lacks Suicide Girls' subtle elegance.

The horrorcore crew swills so much Jägermmeister so regularly that they've failed to notice that rap-rock is supposed to be over. They recently upgraded from a DJ and three emcees to a full band, then hit the road -- usually in the company of Juggalo acts like Twiztid. Wolfpac's big dog, emcee Daddy Long Legs, was a founding member of the Bloodhound Gang, who launched suburban hip-hop with 1995's Use Your Fingers. More impressively, they stole Hootie and the Blowfish's tour van from an Atlantic Records party, covered its interior with vomit, cracked its rearview mirror, and left a note on it reading, "Cracked rearview . . . like your album!" If you have that kind of sense of humor, they're funny guys.
