11/7: Screw Factory Artists Open House

Thanks to ample space and a welcoming atmosphere, the community of artists at the Templar Industrial Park (which they refer to as the Screw Factory) has grown to include dozens of people — from established fine artists like Phyllis Kohring Fannin to younger artists like Christine Mason. Some focus on craft (knitter Shannon Okey) or even industrial design (glass artist Marc Konys). Northeast Ohio’s blitz of holiday arts-and-crafts fairs begins in a few weeks, but the Screw Factory artists’ open house gives you a jump on the season today. There’s also music by emo-rockers Casual Encounters and jazz guitarist Mark Kleinhaut. It takes place from 3-9 p.m. at the Templar Industrial Park (13000 Athens Ave., Lakewood, 216.521.0088).
