Re: “Our Favorite Dumb Bad Yelp Reviews of Cleveland Restaurants

I use and like Yelp. The "industry" thinks people who read Yelp are all knuckle-dragging elitists, but I don't mind reading the reviews. I'm smart enough to see through the bullshit and get a feel for what the place is really like .

Re: “Loganberry Books Shelves Men's Books Backwards as a 'Metaphor of Silencing the Male Voice'

Interesting how it isn't considered petty for the bookstore to parody the silencing of male voices and yet it's somehow petty for someone to point out the blatant hypocrisy of doing so. All I can say... is LOL

Re: “Veteran Producer and Record Executive Tommy LiPuma Dies at Age 80

Saw that great birthday show! Sadly, Al Jarreau and Leon Russell have both passed on since. Now Tommy, too? Bad news all around.

Re: “Q Deal Progresses: County Council Grovels Before Cavs, Signals Ultimate Support

Councilman Polensek is one of the few who I totally trust. Why the others continue allowing the sports teams to push then in to corners is beyond me. I personally would not vote for a single cent toward this or any other proposition until the teams legally commit to staying here long term. Otherwise, it's going to be the same dance time after time. As I've said many times, Cleveland does not have the elected public officials of the calibre of the sports pros we are negotiating with. We are basically easy money.

Re: “Khloe Kardashian Gave Tristan Thompson a Very Special Gold Birthday Cake

Talks way too much, just got tired and sleepy listening to him going back and forward on all the stories and seemed like that he was never getting to the point. Would have liked to hear the whole thing but became impossible to listen to all that ...... wish he would cut the story to one third so I could listen to the whole thing... it seemed interesting at first....

"On the current roster are people with nonviolent criminal records and immigrants from Bhutan, Africa, Guatemala and the Democratic Republic of the Congo."

Africa is a continent, not a country, and DRC is a country within the African continent. Come on.

Re: “Creating Competition, The Pryor Debate and Terry Francona on the NCAA Tournament — The A to Z Podcast With Andre Knott

March Madness proves each year that the people who select teams based on mascots, primary uniform colors and/or nicknames will embarrass the alleged experts every time.

Green City Greens are also sold at the West Side Market. First stall on the right off W. 25th St. Always very friendly and the greens are first rate.

Re: “Patti Smith and Her Band Tap Into Rock’s Revolutionary Spirit During Rousing Show at the State Theatre

Patti Smith is one of very few artists whose entire discography is powerfully essential: "In art and dream may you proceed with abandon. In life may you proceed with balance and stealth."

Re: “The Mandel Jewish Community Center in Beachwood Received Another Bomb Threat Today

I am so tired of these fucking cowards. If you hate someone that much then have the courage to come out in public and fight them, but you people who call in bomb threats are nothing but loathsome, revolting, sniveling little cowards.

Patti Smith is totally amazing. I adore her. I'm so glad I was at the concert last night. All I want to do now is listen to Horses.

Re: “Ruth's Chris Steak House to Open in 200 Public Square Building on March 13

O/U on a place like Ruth's Chris is at least 10 years. It may be a chain, but it's not Applebee's. It's a 4-5 star restaurant. Don't get me wrong, XO and (especially) Red are great, but so is Ruth's Chris. It's prime location right off the revitalized square will provide major foot traffic with lower saturation than, say, E. 4th. It will do very well.
