Re: “Trendy No More: Simeon Soul Charger’s Aaron Brooks

After reading this and hearing the music I'm going to buy probably most of there albums so far released because I honestly believe artist like this deserve to keep making music and should be paid to do it.

Re: “Should My Political Beliefs Stand in the Way of Good Music?

I'm a huge liberal too, but she's my favorite country artist. I have to respect her oppinion and support her artistic freedom, and I agree with most of it. I am pro gun, but she is somewhat right about her side being prettier though, lol

Re: “Why I Hate Kiss

I hate KISS because they are baby boomers. Baby boomers and their greed, selfishness, sex, drugs, and rock and roll have ruined everything for gen x, y, and z. I wish the baby boomers would all die already. Die, baby boomers, die!

Re: “Local Bluesman Jimi Dyson Dies

I`am Yahua Mohammad aka John (Jazz bass) Caldwell. I played with him in the early 70`s R&B bands. He loved to play jimi Hendricks. We could`nt get him to stop playing his songs. I`am happy he stayed with the blues. He tried to be a boxer too. When in jump on stage and tried to box Mohammed Ali in Glemville HS gym.

Re: “What to Do Tonight: Crosby, Stills, and Nash

No, you are wrong. They rock like crazy and have a great band. They have taken songs like Deja Vu, Military Madness and For What It's Worth and improvised them to create artistic classics.

This time around, Stills only picked up the acoustic guitar a few times (and for me, that is unfortunate - no Treetop Flyer).

Re: “Concert Review: Crosby, Stills & Nash at TWCA

Great show!! My wife and I sat in the front row center stage. Sure, they're voices are paying the price of time, but to see them together and be taken thru the time machine which is their music was a real treat. One bright spot was after Steven Stills jammed on "Bluebird" he threw his pick into the audience and I was lucky enough to catch it and give it to my wife.

Re: “This Just In: Emerson and Lake Are Assholes

Emerson, Lake & Palmer are one of the most talented groups that have ever recorded or hit the stage...............to say they are boring and assholes, means that the writer has no clue and should maybe think of a new line of work, maybe a garbage man would better suit his brainpower.............

Re: “Brothers Lounge battle update

Why do you mention how he looks? Life is like a box of chocolates-you never know what you get inside. We know what is inside of Josh Krajcik, pure, heart and soul. The simple truth.

Re: “Local Bluesman Jimi Dyson Dies

My brother and blues hero.................no one would ever know the hard work he put in for people to enjoy all the music from blues to R&B................He was a big supporter of his family members and always wanted to teach others muscians a better and easier way to be success if they are really hungry about music. My big brother is very much missed but will never ever.......be forgotten

Re: “An Interview With Iron Maiden's Eddie

OMG Your not going to believe this but my almost 3 year old grand Daughter loves Eddie from the band. She is going to be three years old on halloween and now her Mom made the mistake of telling her that Eddie is going to be at her party. She even pretended to be Eddie on the phone and now little Rhiannon is all excited about seeing him at her Birthday party! I have looked up all the costumes to see if we could get one and dress up for her party. I cannot believe she is NOT afraid, she loves him and is sooooo excited. My question is, would you lead me to the best costume we may get for her party, it is all she wants or talks about.
Thank you, Sharon Ruebel, Rhiannons Grand-mother......

Re: “Really, WNCX listeners? Freddie Mercury?

I think all the people arguing for freddie are leaving out some important facts. Not that I disagree, but for one, they sang different styles. Freddie sang in an operatic style, so people who are students of the voice generally would say that he's better. Everyone who says robert plant just screemed are missing a lot of his work. Yes, he was known for that, but he was able to do really tender vocals on songs like Going to California, Tangerine, or Babe please come on home (little known song from led zeppelin's album Coda). I would say though that Freddie was better on tender songs (examples, love of my life, bohemian rhapsody). But plant was better at the belters.
Another fact a lot of people are missing has to do with live performances. They say freddie's better, because all led zeppelin's videos are from later in their career. For those who don't know, Robert plant lost a lot of the range from his voice in 73 due to excessive touring, and vocal surgery. Listen to bootlegs of him before then and the live performances are incredible.

Re: “Lil Wayne's Young Money Crew: 6 of the Top 10 Worst Rappers

Oh and by the way, I think it's worth the mention to say that not all of us people who have the good sense to know YM is garbage are fans of these fake ass wannabe-intellectual pseudo-smart loser ass lames like Lupe, Kanye, Common, etc. Those niggas slum hard too, they think they are smart and yet they encourage voting in a two-party sham of a system, and they too are just as dumb as Wiggi Minaj and Tyga and whoever else gets on their knees to suck multitudes of donkey balls.

Some of us are wondering where the real RAP (fuck hip hop) went and where the gangsta ass MCs like Scarface have gone. Rappers like Gucci pretty much suck but they are like a cool drink of water to those of us who are yearning to hear some true gangsta shit from the hood that we can relate to. You got stanky hoes like Nicki singing some preteen pop songs about lesbianism and her own vadge... and faggy little skinny jean wearing homosexual lames like Tyga talking about whatever the hell lies he's spitting, and Drake blabbing on and on and on and on about whores in "da club", faggishly talking about fashion and shoes FFS. No music to be heard of about hustling, struggling, grinding, drug dealing, living in the hood, having it rough, etc. NONE!! Meanwhile I'm wondering why Bun B's album didn't do well even though he is a legend, I'm blown Boosie got locked up, and doing a double take on my OWN mental process when I catch myself wishing for 50 Cent to come back. It's a sad state for real RAP. Anyone really from the hood / the struggle can feel me.
