Built in 1870, the Searle House was frequently used as a guest house for the B&O Railroad crews. It was recently restored to its original grandeur, and is furnished in the finest Victorian tradition. South River Vineyard is housed in a 110-year-old Victorian chapel. The chapel was first erected in Portage County, Ohio, in 1892. It was dismantled in the spring of 2000 and reerected over a wine cellar nestled in the vineyards. The more than 20 acres of premium vineyards showcase varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
