Brightly lit and cheerfully decorated, this attractive, counter-service lunch spot inserts an uplifting exclamation point into the dreary tedium of the typical workday. As for the eats, the taste-bud-tickling assortment of gourmet salads, fragrant soups, sandwiches, pizzas and daily specials contains dishes both upscale and homey. And Wednesday is “gourmet-grilled-meatloaf” day. ’Nuff said.

A welcome alternative to fast-food lunches, this funky downtown noodle house and juice bar combines fresh flavors and speedy counter service with a casual college-town vibe, for a dining "experience" as unique as it is inexpensive. That's probably why the lines are sometimes out the door. Go, and feel good.
