Public Places: Golf Courses
One of the oldest courses in the area, Maple Ridge offers two distinct challenges within its 18-hole, 6,000-yard layout. The beautifully sculptured front nine presents 3,300 yards of fairly open play, while the 2,700-yard wooded back nine requires accuracy and finesse. The clubhouse offers a snack bar, lounge, powered carts, pro shop, tee times, and equipment repair.
Mayfair consists of two distinctly different 18-hole courses. The East is shorter, with few sand traps, and is ideal for beginners and seniors. The West is longer and contains numerous sand traps and water hazards. Both courses have bent-grass greens, with rye and bluegrass tees and fairways. Located midway between Akron and Canton, Mayfair Country Club is situated on more than 230 acres of beautifully manicured grounds, with 36 of the most challenging holes in Northeast Ohio.
Situated on gently rolling hills, the spacious design gives all level of golfers a challenging run. The new clubhouse houses a pro shop and snack bar, well suited for small or large parties.
