Owned by the City of Akron and managed by the Geauga Park District, Headwaters Park is made up of the 425-acre East Branch Reservoir and more than 500 acres surrounding the reservoir. Visitors to Headwaters Park might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle or osprey soaring high above, as well as an occasional great blue heron or loon.

Heading into its fourth decade, this charming Ohio City café remains a reliable, if non-trendy, refuge for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch, best enjoyed in the airy garden room, a mug of cinnamon-scented coffee at hand. While gourmet burgers are the specialty of the house, other options abound, including salads, wraps, steaks, and pastas.
They won't bat an eyelash at extremely casual wear at Highland Square Tavern, where the crowd prefer music that rocks -- and their equally liberal working definition of "rocks" includes Sublime, Snoop and Journey.
