At the former Country Club, Southern rock peppers steady servings of popular country.
A man’s man’s daiquiri bar, Fat Tuesday has Golden Tee, a big-screen TV, pool tables, a jukebox full of gravel, and colorful, slushy frozen drinks that pack a punch.
This swanky rock lounge is decorated in splashes of red: plush couches and velvety armchairs.
The plush seats and rounded bar are vintage, and so are many of the grandfatherly types who tip brews here. The tattooed punks who gather for the live, loud, local bands on weekends bridge the generation gap, and so do the classic rock jukebox and the DJs who spin on other nights.

The decades go by, and this narrow little room changes its name and its decor and keeps plugging away. Once Hennesseyâ€™s, the Blind Lemon, the Hi-Fi, the Breakfast Club, and even, briefly, a gastropub, itâ€™s back in business offering straight-up rock and metal.
Far nicer than its deceptively grungy exterior, this lounge is lined with shirts from local organizations, and the jukebox is stocked with rock.
