Named after the late director of the center, the institute is an educational project aimed at empowering the gay community. The institute is a tribute to Wertheim, who used his skills in the arts and activism to enrich the lives of other gays and lesbians in both Cleveland and New York City.
This is an eight-acre, Aussie-themed park with interactive animal exhibits. Mingle with a mob of kangaroos and wallabies, take a train ride through the Outback, and feed dozens of colorful birds, sheep, goats, and other farm animals, $4-$9, 10 a.m., through Oct. 30.
