Emerald Woods is a challenging 45-hole golf course, with two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole executive course. The Pine Valley & St. Andrews course is a championship course with hilly and tight tree-lined fairways. You will also encounter water on all 18 holes. The undulating greens are guarded tightly with nice bunkers, which come into play on many of the holes. The Audrey & Heatherstone course has similar characteristics, but it's not as demanding. These two nines offer wider fairways and not as much water.
Founded in 1905, the Elyria Country Club offers a William Flynn-designed, 18-hole golf course along the Black River. In addition, there are an excellent pool for the family, a fitness center, tennis courts, a driving range, banquet rooms, meeting facilities, and casual dining.
It's a flat course that's very challenging. The clubhouse has food, beer, liquor, dining room, and nightclub.
Deep in the tradition of the area, this course demands a shotmaker's accuracy.
