When it comes to soul food in Cleveland, there's none better than Angie's. Around town in various guises for decades, the home-cooking emporium dishes up massive platters of rib-sticking fare. Smothered pork chops, Salisbury steak, and braised oxtails are soul-satisfying to be sure. Toss in some fried chicken or perch and a mess o' sides, and you've got the makings of a killer Sunday supper.

Owner Akin Affrica, whose family runs Angie's Soul Café, has not only spiffed up the notion of a soul food restaurant, he has spiffed up the notion of soul food. Expect shrimp and grits, catfish Po' Boys, and chicken and waffles, all served up in a tasteful setting.
