Greg Brinda is bumped again at WKNR

Greg Brinda is bumped again from a prime time slot
For the second time in a month, the lineup at ESPN WKNR 850 has been shuffled — and for Greg Brinda, the bench just keeps getting shorter. The station pulled Brinda from his 6 p.m. weekday slot after meeting with a group of pizza-delivery drivers from Lorain who blame the Sam Fulwood of Radio for a recent rash of attacks by customers. The drivers were able to identify Brinda, says a spokesperson, by paraphrasing sports logic so completely ridiculous that station management didn't see the point in checking its archives. Brinda will become host of the Miller Lite 10th Inning Show, where his natural gift for irritating listeners should fit perfectly with an audience of drunken, pissed-off Tribe fans. And he'll keep anchoring the Northern Ohio PGA WKNR Golf Show, which nobody really listens to anyway. Kenny Roda takes over at 6 p.m. Replacing Roda at 3 p.m. is the first of the station's two new hires: Mark "Munch" Bishop, lured from Clear Channel, where he served as sports director for WMMS and WMJI. Mike & Mike in the Morning, Tony Rizzo and Jim Rome all stay put. The second new hire is a little more familiar: Michael Reghi, taking over as host of The Wine and Gold Show. The station gave him the equivalent of the NBA's ten-day contract: eight regular-season games and the playoffs. Make 'em count, Mikey. — Jason Nedley
