The U.S. Census recently released a report on the fastest growing cities in the country between April 2000 to July 2006.
We didn't make that one. We did, however, make the list of major cities hemorrhaging the most citizens, where we came in third. If we were on Jeopardy, it would probably earn us a cuisinart.
So who were the other winners in the tallest midget contest? Second place was our old nemesis Pittsburgh. Damn, can't we beat them in anything? First place was ... drum roll ... New Orleans.
But C-Notes would like to launch a formal protest. The Big Easy had the unfair advantage of a hurricane and the mismanagement of the federal government to drive out their citizens. All we had was local and state government mismanagement. — T.K. Kim
