News Mired University: The President is Arrested as the Myers Saga Continues

Myers President Richard Scaldini should be fired by a court-appointed receiver today.
Earlier this year, when we detailed Myers University's fall from grace, the school's president, Richard Scaldini, sounded confident he could save the school. Months later, he's been arrested and is about to get fired. A judge has appointed a receiver named Mark Dottore to take over the school while the court tries to broker its sale to the for-profit University of Northern Virginia. The judge will meet with both sides this afternoon. Dottore is expected to fire Scaldini this morning. What kind of unprofessional place is this? This University has GOT to be the laughing stock of the whole higher education community. It's not a real college. it's a proprietary school trying to be a university. How sad! Maybe it should have stayed Dyke College.

Honest to God, Sri! I bet this is in all the higher ed. newspapers. The Pres. or Ex-President is a JAILBIRD! What a circus! They'll never live this down! They need to liquidate their assets, pay their debts and call it a day.

Now the place in under Show Cause by the Higher Learning Commission. In other words, they must prove why they should NOT lose their accreditation. Sad, sad, sad.

This is what these assholes get for keeping an incompetent and bi-polar president, hiring a racist and sexist 80 year old Interim Vice President, letting go of good and dedicated employees and pitting good employees against each other. Jack asses. No better for them. What goes around comes around. LOL!
