Public Square: Thoughts on smoking pot & deceitful pizza delivery guys

Posted By on Wed, May 7, 2008 at 5:00 AM

There's two things that just completely burn my ass that I had to write in about. Number one: I have on video people getting high at the Cleveland Public Library (across from my house). They do it daily and cops drive by and give no attention to it. It's right across from all these people trying to bring the best out in Ohio City by opening their businesses here -- Fit, Johnny Mangos, Kimos Shushi, The Studio. It's the freaking library. Seriously, daily from 3 to whenever you will find 30 year olds smoking dope and drinking all day... My second reason for this letter may seem silly but people need to be made aware: Fabios Pizza overcharges on their deliveries. I swear, I'm being serious. I called and they say they'll talk to the driver but then never get back to me. This happened several years ago when I ordered from there and I got blackballed when I called to complain. When I moved I started calling again, thinking it was a one time thing, but they still do it. The driver crosses out the original price and adds a dollar to it. My order tonight was $11.50 and the driver put $12.50 over the old price. When I called they said they would talk to the driver. This is not a life changing story but I would love to see them get some bad press over their blatent attempt to either make or steal money. It makes me wonder if it's common practice at other places as well. When I called they gave it no attention whatsoever. I won't order anymore, but you should bust them and other delivery places on that. Dina Gray Ohio City
