Every Friday, Scene calendar editor Cris Glaser provides a random but reliable sampling of things to do this weekend. For more options, log onto entertainment.clevescene.com. And check back Monday for C-Notes' Picks of the Week. Friday: We were starting to worry about Pickwick & Frolic’s worn-out cabaret shows after nearly six years of the same old Sinatra tunes week after week. But we freak out no more; the club’s Michael Rogaliner has scripted his first murder-mystery-musical to replace the show tonight in the cabaret lounge. Loosely based on an Alfred Hitchcock thriller, Stage Struck’s plot thickens when a leading man is murdered and the evidence points to his supporting cast members. For a $45.62 (no, that’s not a typo) ticket, you’ll also chow down on a four-course dinner, including entrées like prime rib and chicken marsala, between acts. Showtime is at 8 tonight at Pickwick & Frolic, 2035 East 4th Street. Call 216-736-4242 for details. Saturday: Leave it to the party folk on Put-in-Bay to remind us that summer’s almost here with today’s Scavenger Hunt & Poker Run. For a $25 entry fee, you start in front of Frosty’s Bar and and run throughout the downtown district to collect as many clues as you can about island history. Then you race to seven clubs to draw cards from the bartenders. The contestant with the most clues and the best poker hand wins a $300 weekday getaway on the island. The games begin at 1 this afternoon in front of Frosty’s on Delaware Avenue in Put-in-Bay. Call 419-285-2422 to sign up. Sunday: How many times a year can you simply walk through the front door of strangers’ homes without knocking, traipse through their bedrooms without warning, and leave without saying a word? Unless you’re a career burglar, today’s Ohio City Home Tour gives you a chance to check out nine Victorian- and Italianate-style houses on this 20th-anniversary trek through the West Side neighborhood. For $20, you can hop on Lolly the Trolley for the 20-block tour between West 25th and West 53rd streets. Shuttles leave every 15 minutes at the corner of Market Avenue and 25th Street. Call 216-781-3222 if you need more info.
