Next week marks the return of Great Lakes Brewing Company’s (2516 Market Ave. in Ohio City) popular series of Brewmaster Dinners -- five fun courses of upscale pub fare paired with selections of the restaurant’s award-winning brews. Next Tuesday, for instance, that means beginning with an amuse bouche of fresh artichoke with crab stuffing paired with Holy Moses White Ale, and winding up with a slice of pecan-sweet potato pie washed down with Eliot Ness Amber Lager. ... Besides the eats and drinks, each $50 ticket includes a tour of GLBC's state-of-the-art brewery, the lowdown on the history of Cleveland brewing, plus a taste or two of "special guest" craft-brewed suds. In addition, guests will receive a GLBC bartender bottle opener to commemorate the series’ opening evening. Reservations, via a valid piece of plastic, can be made by calling 216-771-4404, ext. 222, prior to 5 p.m. on June 6. Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable to a later date. Guests are urged to check in at the Gift Shop by 6:30 p.m. that evening; tours begin promptly at 6:45 p.m., with dinner in the pub’s second-floor Rockefeller Room to follow immediately after.
