Part of the westside’s well-known “Viagra Triangle,” popular Spanish eatery Viva Barcelona (24600 Detroit Road) closed abruptly last Thursday, June 12.
According to landlord Dave Gomersall, the biz, owned by a local partnership called Running Bulls LLC was behind on its rent. “That’s the reason they’re closed,” he told C-Notes this afternoon. “Of course, I want to see it reopen, with new owners, as soon as possible.” ...
According to an item in today’s West Life
, legal papers filed in Rocky River Municipal Court indicated that the company owed $36,683 in rent, maintenance fees, and other charges. The figure includes unpaid rent of $7,800 for April and May, the documents said.
Gomersall says he already has four potential new tenants in mind for the 6,250 square-foot space; other would-be restaurateurs with cash on hand can get in line by calling 440-899-4000. --- Elaine T. Cicora
