Yes, Clevelanders, people still go here.
  • Yes, Clevelanders, people still go here.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is nearing two huge milestones. One is the Hall's 15th anniversary, which will be later this summer.

The other is the 8,000,000 millionth visitor, which should happen this week.

As it turns out, people actually enter the Rock Hall and pay admission to tour the exhibits and stare at Bruce Springsteen's jeans despite many Clevelanders' belief that the Rock Hall simply exists to make pictures of Cleveland's skyline just a bit prettier.

Per the press release:

Greeted with a multi-colored balloon drop and a cake courtesy of Executive Caterers, the lucky and unsuspecting guest will receive a rock and roll prize package to last a lifetime courtesy of the Rock Hall.

The rock and roll prize package includes:

o Lifetime Membership to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum
o VIP Vault Tour with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Chief Curator Jim Henke
o Rock Hall Gibson Epiphone guitar
o Dinner for winner + family at the Hard Rock Café
o Sirius XM Onyx Satellite Radio with Vehicle Kit and Home Kit plus a free 3-month subscription to “XM Everything Plus the Best of Sirius.”

Good luck to all entering the hallowed halls this week. Lifetime pass to the hall should be good until they uproot the thing and move it to New York.
