Good morning, Cleveland. Here's some stuff to read while you lace up your old sneakers in preparation for Byron Scott putting you in the game.

— The Cavs continue their downward spiral, which is just about the least surprising development of the NBA season so far. This time they were handled by the 76ers, much to the chagrin of the seven Cavs fans watching on TV. It's time to tank and get a high draft pick, right? (Cleveland.com)

— In more upbeat Cleveland basketball news, Cleveland State won again, running their record to 11-0 on the young season. They've admittedly had a pretty cupcake schedule so far, but that doesn't take away from the fact Clevelanders should be paying attention to the Vikings this year. (ESPN)

— The Akron Beacon Journal has a feel-good story of a man who received the Purple Heart of one of his two brothers who died at Pearl Harbor after a local woman found the certificate for it sandwiched in between some items in her garage. (Ohio.com)

— Two tractor trailers were involved in an accident on I-90 yesterday, one of which was carrying 42,000 apples. That's just bananas. (News Herald)
